What does the Exosome Microneedling treatment do?
The treatment is a micro-needling treatment that stimulates the production of collagen in the skin. This medical grade treatment not only improves the skin's appearance, but can also be used to treat hyper-pigmentation, stretch marks, acne scars, and fine lines and wrinkles.
How long do results last?
Results can last up to 3-4 months. When in a series, the results will compound on each other to create longer, lasting results. A series of three is recommended for optimal results, performed one month apart.
What should I expect during treatment?
You will have topical numbing applied prior to treatment. Many experience a feeling of vibration due to the device used. It is not considered an uncomfortable treatment.
What is the downtime?
The healing time depends on the severity of the damaged skin and the depth of the procedure. Most commonly there may be some redness resembling mild sunburn lasting 2-4 days. Depending on the intensity of treatment, slight swelling may occur in the first 24 hours.
Is there anything to avoid before treatment?
For one week prior, discontinue retinol, avoid direct sun exposure, ibuprofen, and fish oil supplements.
What are the post-treatment care instructions?
For 72 hours avoid: direct sun exposure, working out, hot saunas/swimming pools, any facial treatments or waxing, active ingredients in skincare, and no makeup for 24 hours. Specific post skincare products will be recommended.
