Physiq is the first body system that uses STEP technology (Sequential Thermal & Electrical Pulse), which delivers heat to tissue and electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) to stimulate muscle to target stubborn areas that regular diet and exercise have a difficult time addressing.

How long do the results last?

With this treatment apoptosis is occurring within the fat cell causing natural cell death. This treatment can kill up to 20-30% of the fat cells in the treated area. The results are expected to be permanent in the area treated. Just like the results of any other diet and exercise program, you can maintain these results through continued dieting and exercise.

What does it treat?

Physiq targets tissue and muscle with its unique STEP technology. Step programs are customized sequences of timed phases of deep heat and muscle stimulation. This treatment is a true diode laser that targets unwanted fat. Along  with the EMS technology which helps tone and tighten muscle and skin.

What to expect during my treatment?

Physiq has four independent applicators that can deliver both heat and muscle stimulation. Your provider will place up to four applicators on the desired treatment area and secure them with a band. During your treatment you may feel some warmth at the applicator site and during the EMS you can expect to feel some tight muscle contractions that can be adjusted throughout the treatment cycle. Physiq is done in a 5 treatment series that are treated one week apart. Treatment time is between 30 minutes to an hour.

Is there anything to avoid pretreatment?

Before your Physiq treatment, if necessary you will want to shave the targeted area. You will want to increase your water intake 3-4 days before treatment. Discontinue the use of self tanner 2 weeks before treatment. It is also recommended to have minimal sun exposure during your treatment series.

What is the downtime?

There is truly no down time with this treatment. You can expect the area to be slightly red and some warmth to the treatment area. These symptoms can last a few hours post treatment.

What are the post treatment care instructions?

After treatment it is important to massage the treated area for 2 minutes twice a day with the provided Physiq lotion. As your body breaks down the fat, you will want to increase your water intake. It is recommended to refrain from any strenuous exercise or activity that raises your body temperature for 48 hours.

How often do you recommend treatment?

Physiq is done in a 5 treatment series that are done one week apart. However, everyone is different so it is important for you to talk to your provider about those areas you’d like to target and your goals.  Treatment time is between 30 minutes to an hour.
